Using snippets of interviews taken from the SFA oral history archives and just a baseball hat, apron, and gloves, we were able to represent pitmasters of all races and genders teaching the craft to the younger generation. We translated the action of salting a pig into sand art which we projected onto the sign above the barbecue pit using a live video feed.
